Plastic waste thrown into nature - in forests, waters or on the side of the road - is considered one of the major environmental problems in the country by almost 1 in 7 Romanians. 60% of respondents say that there is far too much waste in nature in Romania and that financial or legal sanctions are the best measure against littering, according to the data of a study.
