According to The Guardian, the company produces its 7.5 tons battery-powered trucks in Essex and it aims to sell 1.000 trucks in 2023.

Tevva is a startup that was founded back in 2013 by an ex-submariner of the Israeli army, Asher Bennett.

As 19% of UK's transport-related carbon emissions in 2020 came from carrying around heavy commodities, bringing more clean powered vehicles on the road to transport these products is crucial.

The Tevva trucks will be equipped with aa 105kWh battery, which should offer some 225 kilometers of range, enough to cover shorter distances.

The electric truck maker aims to start manufacturing 12 and 19 ton hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles sometime in 2024, which should be better suited even for longer distances, as ranges and especially refilling speeds should be much better compared to battery trucks.

Asher also hopes to be able to produce these electric models in the EU and the US, as well, in the future.
