According to Charged EVs, the new electric van will replace the company's NV200 and the NV200e and the new Townstar features intelligent systems, such as an energy management solution and battery cooling tech.

The electric motor is able to deliver as much as 120 HP and 245 Nm of torque, while the 45kWh battery should be good for around 300 km of range.

The Nissan Townstar supports AC charging at 11 or 22 kW, while DC fast charging is also available, according to the Japanese manufacturer.

Nissan's new electric van can carry between 600 and 800 kilograms of weight, while the commercial EV is capable of towing up to 1.500 kilograms.

The Japanese maker claims that, besides the 5 years of warranty, the Townstar's battery system should also retain 70% of its capacity after 8 years of use.

Emmanuelle Serazin, LCV and Corporate Sales Director, Nissan Europe, said that "our electrification expertise and leadership in the e-LCV segment has been a critical component in the development of the fully electric version of the Townstar."

"We’re confident that the Townstar EV’s raft of advanced safety features, versatile configurations and practical capabilities suit sustainable business operations", he added.
