In June, the German truck manufacturer announced that it will be testing the eActros LongHaul until the end of the year on public roads, while presenting other variations for distribution.

According to Clean Tehnica, Daimler's new electric semi-truck is able to achieve an estimated range of 500 kilometers while carrying 22 tons of cargo.

Karin Radstrom, CEO of the Mercedes-Benz truck brand, stated during the presentation of the truck that "we’re confident about these trucks. We want to drive this transition."

The new eActros tractor is powered by a 600kWh battery, which "fuels" the electric motors, which are able to deliver a continuous 400 kW of power (534 HP) and a peak of 600 kW (815 HP).

The eActros 300 is another electric truck presented by the company, which offers some 217 kilometers of range and it is designed for heavy-duty distribution transport.

At the same time, the German brand also released the medium-duty eAtego.
