According to Electrive, Togg officials expect the new EV to be able to meet technical certification for the European market by the first quarter of 2023.

The Turkish manufacturer could deliver its first car, an electric SUV, to customers around that same time.

Togg's CEO said that "at the beginning of November, we will have perfected the processes and then freeze them in this form. Then we will have our production line ready for series production."

For the specifications of the new car, the company's choice for battery packs is expected to deliver anywhere from 300 to 500 km of range.

The electric SUV is also set to have two powertrains, a single rear-wheel drive model which should deliver 147 kW of power and a dual motor, all-wheel drive version, which should be capable of outputting 294 kW of power.

Togg was founded back in 2019 as a joint effort of six Turkish companies to create a Turkish EV maker.
