The company, which we wrote about two years ago when it was testing its innovative solutions for fast charging electric vehicles in Europe, will use the new investment to scale the deployment of its "Charging-as-a-Service" network.

L-Charge officials said that "our technology enables ultra-fast, off-grid EV charging stations that don’t rely on traditional utility infrastructure, providing unmatched flexibility and independence. These stations are designed to be mobile and adaptable, capable of being set up virtually anywhere without the need for costly and time-consuming grid connections."

The off-grid charging stations can prove to be a great way of electrifying more remote areas or those that can't spare the necessary power to run fast charge capable stations, such as rural areas or the highways. Back in 2022, we wrote that L-Charge offered three types of charging stations, the mobile ones, suitable for temporary locations or emergencies, fixed stations, good for shopping centers or stadiums, as well as floating charge points for ships.

The 8 million USD funding round, led by Ultra Capital LLC, will enable the expansion of the charging network to even more regions, reducing the reliance on polluting fossil fuels for providing the electricity.
