According to Reuters, Tesla's mid-size SUV seems to be the go-to-choice for consumers looking into a new car, with the added bonus that this one doesn't have any road-related emissions.

JATO Dynamics says that the Model Y saw 29.367 units registered in September in Europe, a 227% increase compared to last year.

The second car in the rankings was Peugeot's 208 and the third and final occupant of the podium was the Dacia Sandero.

The Model Y is one of the most successful models from the American car brand and 879.346 units were manufactured so far this year.

The high demand of Tesla vehicles in Europe is in good synchronization with the company's plans to ramp up production at its Giga Berlin plant.

Tesla hopes that in the future it will be able to roll 500.000 vehicles per year out of the production line from the Grünheide factory.
