Test Drive Suzuki Swift: Is there a future for mild hybrid cars?

Over the years I came into contact with multiple hybrid cars, both full hybrid and plug-in hybrid and I understood the way they worked. Still, I never understood how a mild hybrid works and why you would want to buy a car with such a system. After a few days with the new Suzuki Swift, I finally understood how a mild hybrid works, but I am not convinced this is the way to go for the reduced emissions mobility.
