According to Electrek, Porsche aims to have 50% of its sales coming from electrified vehicles, including hybrids, by 2025.

By the next decade, the German brand wants EVs to represent 80% of its whole sales.

This is why the company plans to introduce some more EVs in its lineup, including the Macan EV and the Panamera EV, as the latter could come out in 2027.

The Panamera EV is said to have a similar design to the versions that pack an internal combustion engine and the PHEV model, just like the Macan and the Cayenne, which could go electric in 2024 and 2025.

Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said that "we’re targeting higher-margin segments in particular and aim to tap into new sales opportunities in this way."

According to a Porsche source, "there will be some unique design elements within the front and rear ends. However, the core Panamera design will be the same for both."
