Electrive writes that the German company developed the system in a way that it will allow for flexibility in production, as well as deployment in electric vehicles, which is great for the on and off-road applications, such as electric construction equipment.

Company officials explained that it's not only cooling that the system is able to provide, but also heating, as the batteries can be kept warm for optimal performance, should cold weather emerge.

“Upon request, the systems cool other components such as the traction system and power electronics in addition to the battery”, they added.

Sascha Koller, Sales Manager at Technotrans SE, said that "we offer vehicle manufacturers even more flexibility: In addition to our established Plug&Play cooling solutions, they now have the option to individually arrange individual modules of a thermal management system on the vehicle using a modular principle. This is a decisive advantage, especially for the production of compact vehicles with limited installation space."
