According to Green Car Reports, in order to achieve this objective, the company should sell almost two million electric vehicles through the main Hyundai brand and Genesis, the luxury one.

In order to have as many choices as possible, Hyundai wants to launch 11 models for the main brand and six more for Genesis by the turn of the next decade.

At the same time, Kia, company owned by Hyundai, promises to bring 11 electric vehicles of its own by 2026, six of which will have their own platform.

Hyundai is expected to launch three sedans, six SUVs, a commercial vehicle and a "new type of model", according to representatives.

Also, some of the upcoming models will be part of the Ioniq sub-brand, among which is the Ioniq 6, which should arrive later this year and, in 2024, the Ioniq 7 SUV.

The Korean manufacturer promises future owners of the late 2022 models over-the-air software updates capability, which will come to all Hyundai models by 2025.

In order to make as many of these new electric vehicles as possible, Hyundai said that it will manufacture them in the US as well starting this year.

At the same time, the company wants to use hydrogen fuel-cell tech for a number of vehicles and expects the price of this technology to match that of classic batteries by 2030.
