According to Electrive, the E-Transit Custom is one of the four electric commercial vehicles that Ford plans to make available for the European market by 2024.
The electric van will have two electric motor options, either a 100kW electric powertrain or a 160kW one, with the maximum torque for both being 415 Nm.
The van's battery capacity is rated at 68 kWh, which is good for 380 kilometers of range.
The battery can be recharged at up to 125 kW, with a 15 to 80% charge taking around 41 minutes.
For longer stops, the van can be charged using the on-board 11 kW charger, which is going to fill the battery pack from zero in 8 hours.
The E-Transit Custom also has some household power sockets inside, so you can plug in some electronics, such as power tools, a phone or a laptop if you need to juice them up and the electric van can deliver as much as 2.3 kW of power through the specific ports.
With a load volume ranging from 5.8 to 9 cubic meters, depending on the model, the new E-Transit can carry as much as 1.100 kilograms of cargo.
According to company officials, this is "on par with the still current Custom generation with diesel drive."
