Electrive writes that Barcelona-based Wallbox received 35 million USD from the financing from its existing partner Generac Power Systems. Generac is a company specialized in designing and manufacturing energy technology solutions and other power products.
Wallbox announced earlier this year, in May, that it will release a new version of the Supernova DC charging station, called the Supernova 220. Planned for an initial release in Europe, the charging's peak speeds are, as the name suggests, 220kW, while in February this year, the company started the production of the Supernova 180 for the North American market.
Aaron Jagdfeld, President and CEO of Generac, said that "our strategic alliance provides Generac and our distribution partners deeper access to Wallbox’s best in class technology and will enable deeper integration of Wallbox EV chargers into our residential and C&I energy ecosystem."
Any thoughts?
