As per Tech.eu, some Zeedles, creatures inspired by different plants, can be unlocked through knowledge about the world's different climate zones and what viable emission-reduction tips can work in each specific region.

Real-time weather and user care are necessary for the Zeedles to grow and thrive, meaning that players can directly assess the impact of climate-related events on their gameplay.

In order to progress through the story, players will also have to send their evolved Zeedles in fights against an enemy who bears a very fitting name: Lord CO the 2nd.

The one million USD investment will be used by the company to scale the game to a global level and to increase the awareness in climate change-related events.

Through a partnership with The Gold Standard, Zeedz will direct 10% of the company's earnings and 50% of the marketplace profits to green projects around the world.

Carsten Maschmeyer, panel member of Die Hohle der Lowen, juries of the project, shared that "Zeedz is revolutionizing the gaming industry for a good cause. It is the first game of its kind to generate financial contributions for non-profit organizations and have a clear intent on raising awareness on global warming."
