According to ESG Today, 2020-founded Monta is a Denmark-based company that provides an integrated software platform which could improve the process of installing, use and management of EV charging stations for businesses.

Two of Monta's solutions that the company currently uses in Europe are energy usage tracking and guiding individual drivers to the closest charging point. At the same time, for manufacturers, the startup also allows for the evaluation of the charging points and helps increasing the speed of maintenance, as EV drivers in Europe use over 600.000 charging points.

Monta officials reported a 600% increase in revenues last year and a doubling in terms of the workforce, which was partly helped by the opening of two new spaces in Barcelona and Paris. Siemens, EGG and Uno-X are some of the partners that use the services provided by the Danish software developer.

Over the past three years, Monta raised 130 million euros, including the most recent Series B round and executives announced that the funding will be used to doublefold the team again, while also investing in research and development and expanding the network of partners.

Casper Rasmussen, CEO and Founder of Monta said that "EVs and charging infrastructure are a cornerstone of the global shift towards decentralized electrification, and Monta’s software platform is the backbone enabling this critical transition in energy and mobility. Our differentiator is that we take on the entire value chain of the EV charging market – from the grid to hardware to business and drivers – with a tool that streamlines and simplifies charging operations for all participants, bridging the gap between energy providers and end users."

Energize Capital and GreenPoint Partners are the leading investors who contributed to the 80 million euros Series B funding round.
