According to Electrive, Renault Trucks officials say that both companies share the same vision in this collaboration, which is the decarbonization of professional mobility.

The last-mile delivery e-bikes are to be offered in five variants, dry box, refrigerated box, food service, flat bin and refuse skip.

All cargo e-bikes come with an estimated range of 80 kilometers and a payload of 350 kilograms.

Kleuster will have access to Renault's manufacturing power through the company's Vénissieux facility and the e-bikes will have their own dedicated building at the location.

The French manufacturer of last-mile vehicles says that the Freegônes have already been tested or used by companies such as Lime or Veolia.

Renault Trucks also plans to sell cargo e-bikes itself immediately in France and later on, in 2023, in Europe as well.

Bruno Blin, President of Renault Trucks, says that "Freegônes take over where trucks stop."

"Through this partnership with Kleuster, Renault Trucks is differentiating itself and taking the lead in offering even better solutions to our current and future clients" he added.

"Renault Trucks is the ideal partner to support Kleuster’s growth", Gérard Têtu, CEO of Kleuster, mentioned.
