According to Electrive, the electric versions of the Peugeot 308 and 308 SW are also getting the same propulsion system, which has a torque of 260 Nm.

The new motor should allow for better efficiency, reducing energy consumption of the e-208 to 12kWh/100 km.

Due to this, Stellantis mentions that the 50kWh battery will allow the car to reach an estimated range of 400 km, which is 38 km better than the previous model.

The company improved the range of its old electric version launched all the way back in 2019 with a software update, boosting the car's autonomy by around 22 km.

With a 100kW charger connected, the e-208 can go from 20 to 80% in just 25 minutes, according to Stellantis officials.

The DS 3 E-Tense will be receiving the same propulsion system in 2023, which will be powered by a larger 54kWh battery, which was also confirmed for the Peugeot e-308, giving the car a range of about 400 km.

Stellantis officials say that in urban traffic conditions, the range can be boosted to 500 kilometers.

The car has the same charging capabilities as the Peugeot e-208 when connected to a 100kW charging station.
