ESG Today writes that 2016-founded myenergi develops and makes smart home energy optimization devices, which can also help with renewable power generation. One of the company's successful products is the zappi EV charge station, which can either use power from the grid or green energy from solar or wind installations to power battery-electric vehicles.

Another device helps with optimizing energy flow, by diverting surplus energy to heating systems or battery storage solutions, while also monitoring home energy usage.

myenergi co-founder Lee Sutton said that "the investment will help to deliver our next generation of product development and innovation, including our planned growth in grid services – such as demand side response, allowing us to better support our customers in undertaking their own home energy transition."

myenergi co-founder Jordan Brompton added that "as we transition to a net zero future, it’s vital for consumers to be given easy and convenient ways to make the shift away from fossil fuels towards clean, green, renewable energy... the investment from EIP will help to bring our eco-smart products into more households, enabling our customers to monitor, manage and maximize their home energy, as well as reducing their emissions, streamlining their energy bills and ultimately empowering them to become more energy independent."
