According to Electrive, Aciturri, LGT, Lightrock and Tencent are all on the list of the company's investors and the new funding will go to the development of the Lilium Jet as well as other business activities.

Company CEO Klaus Roewe said that "we are pleased to have such a high-quality group of supporters in a challenging macro environment."

The Lilium Jet will be a high-speed regional 7-seater plane with an expected range of 175 kilometers and the take-off and landing times will be 10 seconds and 45 seconds respectively.

Back in July we reported on the fact that Lilium invested in EV battery startup Zenlabs Energy, which means that the German electric plane maker will have the right to use the company's battery-based technologies.

Due to this, Lilium experts are confident that Zenlabs' technology will be able to offer some 2.500 watts of power per kg during take-off and the landing and some 250 watts while cruising.

The Lilium Jet eVTOL aircraft could start flying sometime in 2025 if development goes to plan.
