As per ESG Today, company officials said that they will implement this new solution across the entire product line to enable more sustainable constructions that don't consume natural resources.

This announcement comes shortly after Holcim announced a 2 billion dollars investment in carbon capture technologies in order to make more sustainable construction materials.

Experts at Holcim explain that the new platform works across the entire supply chain with demolition-obtained materials, such as transport, processing and recycling them into new construction solutions with a lower carbon footprint. Thus, the Swiss construction materials expert expects to obtain anywhere from 10 to 100% recycled cement, concrete and other building materials which won't sacrifice on durability.

In the company's 2023 climate report, officials claimed that last year, Holcim was able to recycle 6.8 million tons of construction materials from construction and demolition waste.

Jan Jenisch, CEO at Holcim, said that "with our ECOCycle technology we can build cities from cities, recycling 100% of construction demolition materials into new solutions, so everything gets reused and nothing gets lost. With our world’s growing population and urbanization, circular construction is essential to build a future that works for people and the planet."
