According to Electrive, the DemoTruck could start transporting cargo starting mid-2023 and will be powered by Teco 2030's hydrogen fuel cells.

So far, it is known that the 40 tons DemoTruck will be powered by a fuel cell system that can provide over 300 kW of power for the standard chassis.

The Norwegian energy company makes its fuel cells at a factory located in Narvik and they are primarily designed for use in ships.

Falko Berg, Manager PEM Systems at AVL List, said that "I am really excited to see the TECO2030 stacks perform in an additional heavy-duty application other than marine."

Tore Enger, CEO of Teco 2030, added that "we are excited to team up with AVL again in a new project where our fuel cell stacks will be validated in a class leading heavy duty truck application as early as mid-2023!”
