ESG Today writes that 2018-founded CheckSammy is a Texas-based startup that provides waste removal and sustainability services to corporate customers, while also connecting them with waste management experts that can help companies achieve sustainability goals.

CheckSammy will also use part of the funding in order to launch its sustainability platform, called Veridiant, which can provide an in-depth analysis of waste streams, as well as carbon footprint, reduction and offset capabilities.

Sam Scoten, CEO and Founder of CheckSammy said that "the continued support of our work allows us to accelerate our mission to build waste diversion technology and data aggregation. We look forward to expanding our role as enablers of the circular economy by providing new tools to strategically optimize our clients’ ESG scores and diversion efforts."

I Squared Capital and Zero Infinity Partners are two of the investors who participated in the equity financing round.

Kevin Crull, Global InfraTech Fund Partner at I Squared Capital said that "CheckSammy has quickly established itself as a leading provider of bulk junk removal services in North America. The company is providing an essential service to enterprise customers, while delivering tangible sustainability benefits, primarily in the form of landfill diversion."
