According to New Atlas, the former SpaceX scientists who founded the startup tested a pre-production unit on Lake Arrowhead and hope to deliver the first units to customers later this year.

The first of their products is aimed at the luxury market and will be manufactured in limited numbers.

The revealed specs show that the boat will be powered by a 500hp electric motor that is able to deliver a top speed of 64 km/h and the 220 kWh battery should offer anywhere from three to five hours of fun on the water, depending on speed.

Because recharging in the middle of the sea isn't exactly possible yet, the boat will warn users when the battery is running low, so that they can get back to the shore to juice up the battery.

Company representatives say that "if you are in the middle of Lake Tahoe, you can get back to any other point on the lake with less than five percent of power."

Arc One supports Level 1, 2 (with cables that come with the boat) and 3 charging and uses a CCS1 port for charging.

Level 1 charging, 120 volts means that a vehicle can be charged directly from the house power outlets. Level 2 means 240 volts and Level 3 is represented by the charging stations.

The boat can carry up to 12 people and has a storage space of 5.5 square meters.

Arc One will cost 300.000 dollars and will come with everything needed in order to be operated, including a trailer, life jackets and a cooler as well.
