According to AZO Cleantech, this is the first time in history this high of a share of recycled material has gone into making new packaging. The new material will be used to replace multi-material packaging products that are difficult to recycle and to produce the new INEOS Recycl-IN, the British company combined recycled plastic with new kinds of resins.

The combination of the two materials that go into the new packaging alternative will help INEOS develop a new circular economy model for this industry.

Also, resins that go into the Recycl-IN products are said to reduce carbon emissions by anywhere from 25 to 50% per product, compared to using exclusively fossil-plastics.

Rob Ingram, Chief Executive, INEOS O&P Europe North, said that "we share people’s concerns about plastic waste, showing we can help produce more recyclable end products using large quantities of recycled materials shows our commitment to creating a more sustainable future."
