ESG Today writes that 2020-founded Mission Zero provides highly efficient DAC technology to enable companies in a wide number of industries to lower their CO2 footprint at larger or smaller scales.

Mission Zero uses an electrochemical process to remove carbon emissions, similar to the biological method used within our bodies and it dissolves the captured carbon in a water-based solvent, while using electrodialysis to release the carbon back in a form that can be captured and stored permanently.

By the end of this year, the company plans to have three fully-funded systems in the field of carbon mineralization, carbon-negative construction materials, as well as sustainable aviation fuel.

Breakthrough Energy Ventures, World Fund and Fortescue are some of the investors that supported the 21.8 million GBP round.
