The Deposit Return System (DRS) is a collaboration between private companies and the Romanian government with the purpose to increase the rate at which packaging waste is being recycled and the system must become functional until the end of November, 2023. RetuRO Deposit Return System, the administrator of Romania's DRS system, is the organization named to take care of collecting waste of different types of materials in Romania.
