ESG Today reports that UK-based Renovare offers a technology that can turn biodegradable waste into renewable biofuels which can replace diesel, gasoline and kerosene, without requiring engine modifications.

Renovare engineers claim that their solution is able to cut CO2 emissions by as much as 97% compared to traditional fuels. Company officials also announced the construction of a new biofuels plant worth over 10,4 million euros in Northern Ireland, which can produce 1,8 million liters of biofuels for the heavy industries that want to decarbonize.

Matthew Stone, Chairman at Renovare Fuels, said that "securing this sustained funding will allow Renovare Fuels’ modular technology to be utilized at sites across Europe and beyond, with strong returns on investment as we continue to scale-up this pioneering technology at pace."
