ESG Today writes that industrial steam is used in many sectors, such as food and beverage production, as well as chemical and building material manufacturing and it accounts for 15% of the industrial energy used.

AtmosZero is a 2021-founded company that has developed a solution called Boiler 2.0, which is a modular electric boiler that uses heat from the air to create high-temperature, low-emissions steam with maximum efficiency.

Company officials explain that their electric boiler is more efficient than other electric boilers, using only half of the electricity required to generate steam, while industrial players can replace existing boilers fast and efficiently.

Addison Stark, CEO and Co-Founder of AtmosZero said that "our vision is to eliminate global emissions from fossil-fueled boilers. The investment today from leading US and European investors is a tremendous validation of our technology and approach to eliminating Scope 1 boiler emissions."

Engine Ventures, 2150 and Constellation Technology Ventures are some of the investors that financed the 21 million USD round.
