Tech.eu writes that Berlin-based Dude Chem was launched in 2021 by a team of scientists with a solid background and plenty of experience in the chemical products industry. The company aims to contribute to the shift of the chemical industry by using a network of experienced manufacturers, making Europe one of the world's leading drug producers.

The pharmaceutical industry is responsible for generating hundreds of millions of tons of chemical waste annually and tens of billions of euros-worth of wasted financial resources. Per each million euros of revenue, this sector generates 55% more emissions than the automotive one.

Dude Chem's approach when manufacturing pharmaceutical products is greener, using the company's patented technology. Through it, chemists are manufacturing drugs with a lower cost, while reducing waste by 70% and CO2 emissions by up to 40%.

Sonja Jost, co-founder and CEO of DUDE CHEM, said that "our ambition is to make Europe a major hub for chemical-pharmaceutical production again and secure critical infrastructure. With our novel approach, we can demonstrate that by utilizing the innovation power of Green Chemistry, we can significantly reduce costs as well."

Frontline, Borski Fund and Push Ventures are among the investors who participated in the 6.5 million euro round.
