ESG Today reports that Schenectady-based DSD Renewables is a green energy specialized company from the state of New York that offers complete solutions for custom, large-scale industrial and municipal renewable energy systems.

Since 2019, the company raised a total of 2 billion USD, which helped it install a total of 600 MW solar power in various projects across the US, some of which also include storage solutions. The investment marks Cox's largest funding ever that went towards renewable energy projects.

Will Thorburn, AVP, Strategy and Investments at Cox Enterprises, said that "the way they (DSD) are benefiting both business and the planet shows their ability to think innovatively and operate with purpose. We are looking forward to working with DSD to have an even larger impact in the years to come."

IKEA is among DSD's most notable commercial customers for green, solar power.
