Electrive reports that this fall, BMW officials will reveal more information about the upcoming models and the platforms they will be based on. What we know so far is that the new class of EVs will be based on a platform dedicated only for EVs.

At the same time, BMW officials promised that the new class of electric cars will have optimized electric motors and battery systems, while the UX/UI of the vehicles will also be improved.

Starting 2025, new battery-powered vehicles will come equipped with a windscreen-sized head-up display that was showcased this year at CES.

Electric models to be launched this year by the German carmaker won't be based on the new class platform, but rather on the current generation multi-energy one.
