ESG Today writes that Copenhagen-based Again was founded in 2021 and provides solutions using fermentation to decarbonize industrial operations, turning CO2 emissions into useful products. Combining captured CO2 and hydrogen obtained from biological feedstock, the company is able to produce ”green” chemicals.
Again's pilot plant, located in Copenhagen, already converts as much as a ton worth of CO2 into useful chemicals, one of the products being acetate, useful for companies that work with adhesives or plastics.
The new capital, fueled by the likes of HV Capital and Google Ventures, will be used to expand the company's presence in European markets and in the US, while also expanding its product line.
Google Ventures stated that "the climate tech startup aims to capture harmful carbon emissions — transforming them into sustainable materials that can be used to make everyday household products."
Any thoughts?
