Germany-based Vamo is a startup founded in 2022 which helps customers switch from oil and gas central heating to heat pumps using the company's proprietary software, called HeatOS. According to ESG Today, the solution optimizes the installation process by managing all of the supply chain associated with the process.
The switch can thus be achieved in 30 days and after installation and the start-up of the heat pump unit itself, it is being connected to the internet and optimized by Vamo's system to ensure the best efficiency and performance.
By creating a fleet of these heat pumps, company officials say that the smart system can adapt to the energy demand fluctuations and it optimizes energy consumption so that the grid isn't pressured.
Dr. Jan Ossenbrink, co-Founder & CEO of Vamo, said that "we will render heat pumps a no-brainer for mainstream customers, making it risk and burden-free for homeowners to switch to the cheapest form of heating. All of this while earning money from stabilizing the power grid of the future. The new funding will allow us to seize the Edison moment in green digital heating."
Extantia Capital and GET Fund led the funding round, which saw participation from existing investors caesar and neosfer.
