ESG Today reports that the platform for this solution will first be available in the US and will make use of 2021-founded Akila's software that uses a digital copy of a building to help operators understand where power consumption comes from and how it can be addressed.
Thus, the new collaboration will enable future customers to use Akila's digital platform, as well as Deloitte's team of professionals, which can help with analyses, as well as determining the best strategic plans for building environments.
Mark Bawtree, Akila’s Chief Sustainability Officer, said that "by combining Akila’s advanced digital twin technology with Deloitte’s service offerings, we can help organizations across the United States to take decisive action toward reducing their carbon footprints, optimizing energy consumption, and enhancing operational efficiency."
Nathan Florio, Deloitte Advisory’s Sustainability, Climate & Equity Real Estate leader and a principal in Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP, added that "improved building management can help organizations reduce energy use while also increasing asset value. With data-driven insights and strategic guidance, we hope to help Deloitte and Akila’s shared clients as they transform their built environments into more sustainable and efficient assets.”
