According to ESG Today, Mirova's pan-European private equity fund was launched back in 2021 and looks to support companies that develop sustainable innovative solutions and technologies that can enable a greener future. Smart cities, natural resources, agri-tech technologies, circular economy and clean energy are the five areas of interest for the company.

The announcement follows the launch earlier this year of Mirova's Mirova Impact Life Essentials (MILE) fund, aimed at supporting the companies that can develop a more equitable social future by addressing issues such as climate change or inequality.

Marc Romano, Head of Impact Private Equity at Mirova, said that "we already completed ten investments in key sectors of the ecological transition, with the aim of achieving attractive financial returns. We remain convinced that positive impact and profitability go hand in hand, particularly when it comes to companies that are driven by fundamental trends designed to meet specific sustainable development objectives."
