"HP Amplify Impact is already delivering results globally and now I am pleased to announce that the program is available in Romania. We encourage our partners to join us in our mission to build a sustainable world by acting responsibly for the future of people and the planet. The programme is about more than pooling resources or sharing best practices. Our goal is to support our partners in promoting a low-carbon and circular economy, in developing a diverse, inclusive and equitable supply chain and in increasing the resilience of local communities," said Mugur Pantaia, Managing Director at HP Romania.

Launched a year ago to support HP's goal of becoming the most sustainable and equitable technology company by 2030, the HP Amplify Impact programme has trained, coached and supported more than 1,400 partners globally to drive change by maximising opportunities, using sustainability as a key differentiator against competitors. As part of its climate action goals, HP has set an ambitious target to bring at least 50% of HP Amplify partners into the programme by 2025. To date, 20% of partners have signed the HP Amplify Impact pledge, 10% more than the original target set for the first year of the program. HP's commitment to sustainable impact has helped the company earn more than $3.5 billion in new sales in fiscal 2021, representing more than 3X annual growth.

Creating an ecosystem of responsibility

The HP Amplify Impact program supports partners to set ambitious long-term goals to make a positive impact. Partners who join the program will receive certification and be included in an annual rewards program. The mission of the program is for the IT industry to take ownership and support three important pillars:

Planet: creating the most sustainable portfolio of technologies, services and solutions while supporting a regenerative, climate-neutral circular economy.

People: respecting human rights, providing opportunities for development, promoting a culture based on diversity, equity and inclusion through initiatives such as the HP Racial Equality and Social Justice Task Force.

Community: developing communities through the power of technology and bridging the digital divide so that more people have access to education, jobs and health systems to thrive.

All HP Amplify partners can access the important resources HP is making available in this programme, regardless of their progress towards the goal of contributing to sustainable development. HP will provide all HP Amplify Partners with access to training programs, marketing tools, the HP Sustainability and Compliance Center (SCC), HP Life and HP Planet Partners. In addition, HP will work with partners in selected countries to chart two distinct directions:

Catalyst members ("Catalyst"): are members who will take the HP Amplify Impact pledge, participate in the sustainability assessment and report on sales opportunities.

Changemaker members: members who do not yet have a sustainability plan in place, but are committed to starting down this path. HP will work closely with them and support them in developing a long-term sustainability plan, which will mean recognition as a business that promotes positive change.
