The AI accelerator is supporting 13 impact-driven organizations across Europe (Sweden, Italy, UK, Spain, Ukraine, Poland, Czechia, Romania and Lithuania) in scaling their AI and ML solutions for social good officially. The accelerator was launched on April 9th representing a diverse array of sectors and solutions, united by their commitment to leveraging AI for positive societal impact - Agile Impacts, AI for Accessibility, Atelier Riforma, Blume Technologies (from Romania), Cardio.AI, Dream Green, Elomia Health, HumanITCare, Niya, Sensegrass, Talenti, The Newsroom and Vedliai.

Over the next six months, these startups will dive into a journey of specialized training, mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, and peer learning experiences, all aimed at empowering them to develop their technology and their business, ultimately scaling their impact with over $2M+ in funding to be provided to the first cohort. On top of this, they will all be paired with a Googler with AI expertise to help them scale their work and solve their technical challenges.

Blume Technologies offers an AI-powered software solution for unmarked pedestrian crossings that uses video cameras and AI to scan the crossing area and warns passing drivers about the presence of pedestrians in accordance to the side of the road where the pedestrian is crossing from, while also collecting relevant road data. Thus, the startup aims to improve the safety for pedestrians, as well as for the drivers, in unfavorable road conditions.
