As per ESG Today, San Francisco-based Generate is a sustainable-infrastructure operator, doing everything from the deployment and operation, to financing the respective solutions. The American company focuses on the energy transition, having invested in fuel cells, green hydrogen and energy storage, among others, as well as electric mobility, with battery and hydrogen-powered vehicles being major points of interest.

Since its founding back in 2014, Generate Capital raised more than 10 billion USD, which helped the company produce more than 320GWh of sustainable power, as well as process some 715 kilotons of organic waste.

Generate Capital CEO and co-founder Scott Jacobs, said that "while the window for action is getting smaller every day, we have the blueprints to build the critical infrastructure that will ensure a livable future. We need to invest trillions, not billions. Ten billion dollars is just a start."
