According to Tech.eu, the company's solution delivers up to four times the carbon emissions reduction per square meter compared to other photovoltaics products on the market, while keeping cost down.
Naked Energy's panels, called Virtu, are modular and are some of the best panels with regards to energy density, which allowed the company to raise the 20 million euros Series B funding. E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) was among the leading investors, which also included Barclays.
E.ON EIS will implement Naked Energy's Virtu solar panels with the aim to further improve its energy efficiency and contribute to the decarbonization of the energy sector. The British startup was able to sell its innovative solar panels to companies across 20 different countries.
Christophe Williams, CEO of Naked Energy, said that" heating takes up over half of all energy consumed globally, and as the demand for renewable heat continues to rise, we’re committed more than ever to supporting the commercial and industrial sectors in their transition away from natural gas."
