As per ESG Today, the money will be invested in training and research and development of advanced technologies for farmers located in vulnerable regions.

FMC officials also added that they will continue to offer financial and productivity support to smallholder farmers, while also offering training sessions for good farming practices in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

FMC Chief Sustainability Officer Julie DiNatale said that "FMC’s commitment to the Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge further aligns our investments with continuous efforts to support farmers, secure the future of food and achieve the goal of Zero Hunger by 2030."

“We are not going to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030 by doing things the way we’ve always done them. Innovation is essential", she added.
