United Airlines backed Archer Aviation could make 2.000 flying taxis per year

Archer Aviation officials said that the company wants to build 250 of its upcoming battery-electric air taxis by 2025, as the manufacturer wants to get the aircraft certified by the end of 2024.

According to Reuters, Arhcer's CEO, Adam Goldstein, said that "in our first year, we will build 250 aircraft, our second year will build 500 aircraft, our third year will build 650 aircraft and then we scale it up to around 2,000 aircraft per year."

Earlier in August we wrote about the fact that Archer Aviation secured a 10 million dollar investment from United Airlines, as the manufacturer was looking forward to build 100 of its vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

The futuristic aircraft, called "Midnight", can carry four passengers and the pilot and Archer is awaiting approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Archer Aviation claims that the new type of aircraft will be able to transport passengers at a speed of around 241 km/h for up to 96 kilometers at noise levels that are 100 times reduced compared to a helicopter.
