Electrive reports that the EZ-6 will arrive in Europe sometime in autumn 2024, but an exact date and pricing have yet to be announced. The electric offshoot of the Mazda6 was showcased this year in April and could come with a 163kW electric drive, as well as a LFP (lithium-iron phosphate) battery that offers around 700 kilometers of range, according to Chinese authorities.
According to engineers, Mazda has "leveraged its extensive expertise in dynamic performance tuning from the gasoline vehicle era" in order to offer a smooth and efficient driving experience in the new electric model.

Mazda built the EZ-6 in collaboration with the Chinese company Changan, which contributed in the project with the EPA-1 platform, as well as the driving assisting software. Thus, the safety technology, which can offer a 2.5 semi-autonomous driving system, is powered by a Qualcomm processor, as well as four high-resolution panoramic cameras and no less than 12 ultrasonic radars.
Mazda choose to maintain some of the design elements from the Mazda6 sedan, opting for a combustion-looking front grille, closed off this time, as no air cooling is required for the electric motor. The new EZ-6 will be 4.92 meters long, as well as 1.89 meters wide, not counting the side mirrors.
