According to ESG Today, Driveco's charging network for electric cars is the second largest in France and Belgium, with the 2010-founded startup releasing its own power stations back in 2020. Currently, 8.000 stations are in operation and under construction.

Ion Leahu-Aluas, CEO of Driveco, said that "to tackle the climate emergency, it is essential to decarbonize the transportation sector by promoting the widespread adoption of electric cars. With more than 10 years of experience in the electric charging sector, our goal is to act as a catalyst for the energy transition by responding to the urgent need for infrastructure development, notably electrification."

The 250 million euro financing strategy will support three different strategies, one of them being the consolidation of its presence in the two markets in which it operates. The other two are reaching new markets and keeping the pace of innovation.

Thus, by 2030, Driveco officials want to open over 60.000 charging stations in seven European states.
