ESG Today writes that 2015-founded BlueEarth Capital manages investment strategies for investors who want to address social and environmental challenges. The company is owned by Switzerland-based not-for-profit organization Blue Earth Foundation, which re-invests all of its operational profits into philanthropic activities.

BlueEarth’s Climate Growth Fund invests in growth stage companies located in Europe and North America that are working to support the green transition, promote circular economy practices or offer solutions for climate change resilience.

Investments are made in companies operating in five key sectors, including energy transition, buildings and mobility and food and agriculture.

Kayode Akinola, Head of Private Equity at BlueEarth Capital, said that "the significant investor commitments received for the BlueEarth Climate Strategy demonstrate the essential role of for-profit impact investing in helping to address some of the world’s biggest climate challenges. Through this strategy, BlueEarth is addressing opportunities graduating from the venture stage but still too early for traditional buyouts – catalyzing climate solutions of the future whilst aiming for attractive, market-rate returns."
