Fiat reveals the price of Topolino, the battery-powered sibling of Citroen's Ami

Stellantis-based Italian manufacturer Fiat presented its competitor for the Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e back in July, but at the time no price tag was available for the little microcar. Without subsidies, the electric Topolino can be had for 9.890 euros in its home country.

As per Electrive, deliveries are expected to start at the beginning of 2024 for Italy, but Fiat wants to make the microcar available in France and Germany, as well by the end of 2023, before potentially moving to new markets.

Being a Stellantis-made EV, the Topolonio shares most of the specifications with the Ami and the Rocks-e. This means a length of 2.53 meters, a 6 kW electric motor capable of a top speed of 45 km/h and as much as 75 kilometers for the range.

Similar in design to its two siblings, the Topolino also resembles a vintage Fiat 500 and as far as the name goes, company officials claim that Topolino once represented the way towards urban mobility, while the new version is meant for sustainable city driving, but also keeping "all the coolness of the Fiat 500."

With subsidies, the Fiat Topolino electric can be had in Italy for as little as 7.544 euros, not a small price tag necessarily, but certainly in line with other battery-powered microcars.
